Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) Fiber Testing

At Mongo Optics, we have the equipment to test the integrity of fiber optic cables and systems using an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) instrument. An OTDR is used in optic fiber installations, certifications, maintenance, and trouble shooting situations. Prior to testing, our experienced technicians select the auto-test function or manually adjust the parameters based on fiber cable length, type of cable and system complexity to assure the most accurate results for each unique OTDR testing.

Test results provide useful information about the cable, such as the condition and performance capability of the fiber optic cable. Once test results are available, our trained technicians proceed with trouble shooting solutions if required.
